Alpha Fire EIW

Purpose. Premium-grade fire-resistant laminated glass, distinguished by clarity and aesthetics. It blocks flame, heat and radiant heat: integrity (E), thermal insulation (I) and limitation of radiant heat flux (W). Used for escape routes, curtain walls and glazed doors where an EIW rating is required.

Construction and properties.

• Maximum clarity — built on low-iron glass, light transmittance higher than typical equivalents.
• Flawless aesthetics — no bubbles or gel shrinkage at the edges, a uniform surface across the whole pane.
• Full EIW protection — flame, heat and radiant heat flux (the specific rating is stated for the product, e.g. EIW 60).
• Applications — escape routes, curtain walls and glazed doors with more than 25% glazing.

Governing standards. Fire resistance of transparent structures — GOST 30247.4—2022 (test method); laminated glass — GOST 30826-2014 (complies with Russian national standards, mandatory for the Russian market).

Points to note. The fire-resistance rating (e.g. EIW 60) is stated for each specific product per its test report. The UNIALGLASS gel interlayer is frost-resistant down to −40 °C, extending its range of application. Under fire exposure, EIW glass clouds over: the internal insulating layer foams and forms an opaque screen that blocks radiant heat.
