Bullet-Resistant

Purpose. Bullet-resistant laminated glazing for high-security facilities — banks, cash desks, cash-in-transit points, checkpoints, security posts, special-purpose vehicles.

Construction and properties. A composite of several panes (with a polycarbonate layer where needed to reduce weight), not penetrated by the specified ammunition. Classes under GOST R 51112-97: Br1 (9×18 Makarov pistol), Br2 (9×21), Br3 (9×19), Br4 (AK74/AKM), Br5 (SVD), Br6 (12.7 mm). Thickness increases from roughly 20–25 mm (Br1) to 60–70 mm and above (Br6).

Governing standards. GOST R 51112-97 "Protective equipment for banks. Bullet-resistance requirements"; test method — GOST 32566-2013; bullet-resistant glass for construction use — GOST R 54171-2010 (complies with Russian national standards, mandatory for the Russian market).

Points to note. The protection class is the result of testing the finished composite, not an individual pane. Weight reduction is achieved with a polycarbonate layer.
